The origins of parkour

Parkour (french for route) started in Nice in France about ten
years ago when two kids named David Bell and Sabastian
Foucan met. Parkour is a border line extreme sport the main
goal of parkour is to get from point a to point b in a straight
line this means jumping over walls, running over roof tops in
general you must master the urban jungle. You must not be
bound by walls or railings you must use them to your
advantage, jump over, on top of or around them. These
objects soon turn into a kind of urban furniture things to jump,
spring or hang from. In truth parkour isent entirely original its
like a colabiration of martial atrs, break danceing and
gymnastics combinding all three to create something new and
fresh. Sabastian also worked on the philosophies and
freedoms of parkour he was the first to explain the flow of a run,
how momentium should be maintained and how no obsticle
should stand in your way. Sabastian is considered to be
the grand ambassador of parkour since he developed the
philosophies, even though David is still considered to be an elite
freerunner he is not considered to be as high as seb because he
had no hand in developeing its philosophies and never accepted
them fully. Which led to the split of parkours two founders but
this did not slow its popularity, parkour is still developing
into a sport of legend. Since the airing of Jump London and
Jump Britan parkour came out from its underground roots.

Parkour is met with with mixed reactions some people hopeing
to see more of it on the streets and some who dont understand
it hopeing never to see it again. Its unfortunate that some
people cant see that tracures are just expressing themselfs
through the art of movement. But this is not always the case
lately there are numerous people who mistreat parkour and its
disaplain useing there new capabilities to vandilise and steal.
The Parkour community hopes that these people either see the light
and revert back to its true form or try not to damage the arts
by announcing that what there doing is parkour. Tracures are
the most willing to teach, dedicated and loyal athleats most
people will meet and lets hope that the mistakes of a few
dont give a bad name to the dedication of many others.
